Solo......

My heart is swelling with pride........ as I proudly announce that I completed my first "solo" mission with the kiddos!!!!! I took the three kids to the pediatrician all by myself! So how did it go you ask? According to Dr. P - very well. Luke was getting a little wild while we were talking with him and Abby was starting to fuss so I apologized for the chaos of our visit and he kindly replied that he thought that I was doing great for having all 3 children alone! Thanks Dr. P - I think he could see that I really needed to hear that at that very moment =)

Now, I got to go on an adventure to the pediatrician for this........

For the past month, Jack's forehead has been really bumpy- for lack of a better term. I was using Johnson's Bedtime Bath and switched to Aveeno in hopes that the bumps were just irritation from the baby wash- no improvement. I use a "free & clear" detergent on the babies laundry, so I have been at a loss as to why he has these mystery bumps.

Answer.................. eczema. Dr. P said that he needs a steroid lotion 2x daily to clear it up. I wasn't at all surprised when I heard his diagnosis as I had a nice case of it when I was a child. Luckily, I outgrew it and I haven't had any problems since I was about 10 years old.

We can already see a little improvement from the medicine- but now for the really yucky part- our co-pay for his medicine is almost $300.00!!!! Yes, that's no typo- $300 is what I meant to type- can you freaking believe that!!!!!! I love prescription drug companies! Okay, I'm done complaining..... and thanks for letting me get that off my chest =)
